Introduction
After understanding Dharma, the next step in spiritual growth is the concept of Karma Yoga. Karma Yoga means achieving self-realization through selfless action. It is one of the central teachings that Lord Krishna imparts to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita.

Three Key Principles of Karma Yoga
- Nishkama Karma (Selfless Action):

- Duty or Dharma:
- Karma Yoga teaches that every individual should act according to their Dharma or duty. This duty is not just personal but also extends to social and global levels. When one fulfills their duties selflessly, they progress on the path of Karma Yoga.
- Equanimity:
- In Karma Yoga, equanimity means maintaining a balanced attitude in situations of success and failure, pleasure and pain, gain and loss. This equanimity provides mental and emotional stability, which is crucial for spiritual growth.
The Bhagavad Gita and Karma Yoga
In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna explains the importance of Karma Yoga to Arjuna, saying, "Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana" (Chapter 2, Verse 47). This translates to, "You have the right to perform your actions, but not to the fruits of those actions." This verse encapsulates the fundamental principle of Karma Yoga—performing duties with selflessness and dedication.
Krishna teaches that when one carries out their duties selflessly, they become free from the bonds of worldly attachments and move closer to self-realization.

- Act Selflessly: Perform every action with the understanding that it is part of your spiritual practice, not just for personal gain.

- Let Go of Results: Stop worrying about the outcomes of your actions. Accept the results as the will of the Divine and continue moving forward.
